10 Blog Sources

This is website will be a valuable resource. It breaks down every aspect of San Francisco, neighborhoods, activities, cost, and extent of the stay. Although my topic is general right now, I will be able to use this website for any travel related topic.

7x7 is a magazine written all about San Francisco but appeals to a younger audience. This will be great for my blog because I am interest in writing to a younger audience like my fellow classmate. The website has a section just for traveling that lists things to do according to each district. The magazine has covered great topics like big eats in SF and seeing Pier 39 in not such a touristy way. After looking through the website I decided I could realistic go to a lot of place listed and not have to empty my bank account to do it.

This blog is different from the others. Fog Bay is no longer being posted on but contains 1000 of just pictures of the city. Including a link to a certain post may bring a different perspective to my reading. This may not always be the best thing to link to in a given post but It should help enhance a post or two. Also, the photographs are beautiful and professional and I will be shooting pictures with a cheap digital camera, readers will surely see the difference.

At first glance this website doesn’t look well put together, there are add breaking up the writing and with one wrong click and I'll be link to an overwhelming amount of spam. But as I started clicking links and they led to me interesting links of places to visit in San Francisco, places to eat, hotels to stay at and much more. I think this website will be useful because it is updated like a blog and it provides links to more information about a topic.

The San Francisco Chronicle has a travel section every Sunday that I am already an avid reader of. The newspaper articles usually focus on world travel but the website has a section dedicated to travel in San Francisco. This will be a useful source travel destination in San Francisco because it is a credible source and it is frequently updated. The chronicle will also focus on trends, and controversy about tourist in San Francisco. When I want to add a little something to my blog, the chronicle will help me think of different ways to talk about San Francisco.

This is an awesome facebook page! There is a new post everyday about what to do in San Francisco. The prices range but there is always a fun new activity to try. This will be extremely useful not only for ideas of where to visit but to read comments on what readers thought of the activities. It will be interesting to hear what readers thought of an activity and give me a good idea of what to go out and try.

The great thing about this facebook is that they have many followers who respond. The input from the facebook fans could help me think of ideas of what to do in San Francisco or even what my readers may want to hear about. The facebook also asks for the fans to give there opinion on the best sushi place or the best view in San Francisco, this will give me a good perspective on where to go that isn’t in the normal stops on a tourist agenda but places that real San Franciscans love to go.
